A fresh new face for the Corrida!
New logo, new website, some new faces in the team and, who knows, maybe a shower of new records on 18 December for its 50th edition! We...
Inaugurated in 1972, the original event was inspired by the famous Sao Paulo corrida in Brazil. After almost 50 years, the Corrida Pédestre Internationale de Houilles, west of Paris, is now known internationally as one of the fastest 10km road races in the world.
In 2018, Julien Wanders broke the French and European record in 27'25. In 2019, Liv Westphal also broke the French record in 31'13. In the last edition, 44 runners ran in under 30 minutes, and 24 female runners in under 36 minutes.
Organised voluntarily by the Comité des fêtes de Houilles, the event, which is IAAF Silver certified, is a major running event in France and Europe.
Two races are available to athletes: the popular race, open to all, and the Course des As, for the best of the best.
Open to all runners SOLD OUT
The popular race is open to all runners, regardless of their running ability.
Combining a festive atmosphere and races of all levels, this race, which takes place every year on the last Sunday of the year, allows about 1,500-2,000 runners to have one last challenge before the New Year!
This race is one of the most prestigious in the world and has undeniably one of the best 10km road race records in the world.
Labelled IAAF Silver since 2015 (and as such in the world's Top 50 races), the world's best athletes come to test themselves in the Course des As: beware, however, only runners under 37'00 and female runners under 44'00 can participate!
